Holiday Eggshell Ornaments!
Every holiday season for the last several years I have been creating Winter Woodland Eggshell Ornaments! Partly as a way to think back to my childhood when we hung beautiful religious themed eggshell ornaments on our tree, and partly to celebrate my awesome flock of chickens that I am so grateful for. This year the ornaments are available at the Library Art Center’s Gallery of Gifts Show in Newport NH, and on Etsy.

Kris Cairelli is an artist, art teacher, and mom of three boys in Croydon, New Hampshire. She has always loved to create, and recently decided to dedicate after bedtime to “crafter bedtime”, as a solution to making art in the baby days. She has a bachelors degree in K-12 art education from Vermont State Univeristy- Johnson.
She hopes to grow the collection on this site to include crafts and art that reflect her love of many mediums and the outdoors.

In 2022 Kris created the board book Be Kind to Earth! after finding few options about sustainability for her own kids. The book follows an owl named Bennet as he learns the importance of taking care of our planet!
ReMake It! Day at Newport Montessori School in February! One hundred-ish students participated in a variety of up-cycling art making methods and collaborated on a RECYCLE mural for their school cafeteria.

Richards Free Library’s Bookport- a celebration of local authors in March! Thank you Richards Free Library for including me in this.
Kris exhibited up-cycled collage “Spring Chickens” at the Library Arts Center’s Home Exhibit! It was a beautiful show.
2023 EVENTS
Thank you Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore in Middletown, CT for hosting Recycling Story Time on April 15th!
Kris worked in the (re)Maker Space at the Earth Day Festival at the Montshire Museum of Science on April 22nd! Attendees created up-cycled collage artworks and Be Kind to Earth! was included in the Earth Day Raffle Basket. Thank you Montshire!
2022 Events
Grantham NH’s Dunbar Free Library hosted a Saturday Story Time on May 6th- Town Clean Up Day!
Earth Day Story Time was a huge success in 2022 at both Bradford Public Library in Bradford, VT and Richards Free Library in Newport, NH. We read Be Kind to Earth, made collage artworks, and planted seedlings for everyone to take home. Thank you to Ms. Gail at BPL and Ms. Mo at Richards!
